Bluestone pathway project.

This project is a backyard pathway upgrade from existing gravel and rustic stair treads, to a finished bluestone surface.

Set in sand atop a compacted roadbase, these 1-1/2″ to 2″ bluestone pavers are a great way to turn any outdoor surface into a smooth, clean, usable space.
As an add-on to this original patio area that I built, the new pathway is the final connection from the front of this immaculate property to the back.

Can’t wait to show you the next one!

Revisiting a custom fireplace and bluestone patio in Sidney!

It`s always nice to keep in touch with clients and an honour to do some additional work. I have built numerous aspects of this lovely ocean view property including two bluestone patios, a front entryway, and an indoor fireplace.

Here`s an updated pic of the fireplace that was given a ROCKS style face lift. Basalt surrounds these gorgeous doors that the client had custom made and the rest of the stone is Eagle ridge sandstone facing, with a big ol` single chunk of local stone for the hearth and a stunning `live edge`mantle piece (see ROCKS Fireplaces ) for more pics.

It`s always nice to see how our projects age, and I couldn`t help but snap a picture of this large bluestone patio nestled in a mature garden. Time always seems to make things look more at home. Coupled with fantastic composite patio furniture this patio is ready for its first full summer of use!
